Description: Established in 1901 — The arrival of the railroad in Kaplan, LA, marked the beginning of an era, with three wooden stave rice bins storing the harvest. This was before the advent of metal silos and before Supreme Rice Mill grew to become Louisiana's largest mill in Crowley. Our design pays homage to the rice boom of the 1890s to 1936, showcasing wooden bins, metal silos, rice stalks, and the rich bayou heritage.
